The blossoms on the trees almost beat the daffodils this year. Our cool, wet winter dragged its heels, holding on until the end of March before our first 60 degree day in Portland, Oregon. Now the daffodils flourish, the robins are nesting and the grass needs weekly mowing.
I love this state for the variety of terrain, fauna and critters found at all elevations. The weather is but one cog in the wheel that keeps this state rolling. On any given day, I can touch my toes in the ocean then head for high country to kick some snow. The forests bring peace and help clean the air. Nearer to home, parks are plentiful and walks a delight.
Spring is here and life is good.
