Leaping from my last entry to this one, rushing through snow showers during my morning errands, a rare element this soon-ending winter, very aware that life waits for no one. Seems like the year just started and tomorrow begins month three. No complaints. I've been busy composing poetry and short stories, delighting in the fast-paced changes I am privileged to watch in my two grandchildren, and recovering from a knee injury. My music playing took a hit, but remains a great balance to the rest of my life.
Just last week, another flash fiction story received an award at WritersType.com. I'm excited because I had a lot of fun creating that story last year and I like my revision a lot. Each story I write and revise encourages me to keep writing as well as teaching me what trips up readers and what enhances a story line.
